Love the concept of a revolving roster of upcoming bakers - I feel like so many cafés who supply wholesale baked goods all have the same cardboard-like croissants and maybe a dry brownie.

Totally. A cafe in Whitby was surprised I recognised both their cakes and their hot chocolate. I did say it's basically my job. :-D And they had chosen great suppliers. I even noticed that croissants in one bakery on a freezing morning that had been transferred from another branch (presumably in a very cold van) didn't taste quite as good as they normally do. It felt like it was in the travel, but it might have been another reason.

This is just lovely, Jen. I will try to check them out next time I’m in London Fields. I also love that you went to help wash dishes. I’m sure that was greatly appreciated, and a great way to have a nosey behind the scenes. I love a peek into the creative process.

It was really nice to be in a room full of lovely people - and quite nice to do something that didn't require any executive function too! :-D

Running late looks great! Just to say that I live in Hackney Wick, and I’m not sure that its location would be considered Hackney Wick- looks more like Hackney Central/london fields! Hackney Wick is the other side of Victoria Park :-)
