I hope you had a great Christmas? I understand if you didn’t. It’s never been my favourite holiday. This year’s was nice. Hectic in a good way with two rounds of guests on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then frantically packing on Boxing Day before an early departure on the 27th. 😳
I’m starting to write this in Notes on my phone from the hotel bed while Maya sleeps beside me. It’s late by my promises. But who knows what day it is in Twixmas anyway, right?

The croissant that should be going viral.
If you’re on Instagram or TikTok you’ve probably seen Philippe Conticini’s version of New York’s Supreme Croissant from Lafayette going viral. It’s the 2022 version of the Cronut creation in 2013. People queue outside Lafayette and they limit you to one per person. Which is probably a good thing. I bought two Cronuts when I queued in 2016 and one ended up going in the bin…
