Last Friday to Sunday there was a chocolate festival at The Orator in Cambridge, organised by Riadh of Bumble and Oak, herself a talented chocolatier.

Some of my favourite bean to bar makers were there and some great chocolatiers and bakers. Here are some you will probably know about, and others you should, if you don’t already.

First up, the bean to bar chocolate makers you should have on your radar. They all make great single origin bars, and some make other chocolate treats as well.

British & Irish Bean to Bar Chocolate Makers

Anisa & Chocolate - Anisa was the first bean to bar chocolate maker in Cambridge. Everything is totally vegan and there are lots of origins to buy in small bars with beuatiful packaging!

Neary Nogs - all the way from Ireland. Dot and Shane make beautiful chocolate and some with unusual ingredients like the one I shared in the first (or second? 🤔) online tasting in 2020, with gorse flower and Irish seaweed. It’s called Dúlamán and I urge you to listen to the Celt…
